RESIDENTIAL DESIGN – MS. SUWANNEE, BANGKOK

Modern Tropical Living

This two-story residence is designed with the concept of blending modern architecture with the refreshing essence of nature, creating a relaxing atmosphere that perfectly suits suburban living.

Main Concept: Modern Tropical Living
The main concept, “Modern Tropical Living,” emphasizes a contemporary design approach that harmonizes with the natural environment. The architecture focuses on the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, reflecting a lifestyle that embraces openness, comfort, and tranquility.

Key Design Features
Ventilated Architecture: A highlight of the design is the semi-open living area on the second floor, featuring a high ceiling that allows natural ventilation and daylight to flow through. This creates a bright, airy, and comfortable space that encourages relaxation.

Warm and Natural Materials: Wood is used as a primary decorative material — from wall cladding on the upper floor to exposed timber structures in open areas — evoking a warm and inviting atmosphere. These elements contrast beautifully with soft gray walls that convey a modern aesthetic.

Integration of Green Spaces: The residence features thoughtfully placed greenery, including a balcony garden on the second floor and a green canopy above the carport that incorporates climbing plants. These natural elements help reduce heat while enhancing the home’s overall serenity and harmony with nature.

Light and Shadow Play: Architectural projections and carefully designed openings create dynamic patterns of light and shadow throughout the day, adding depth and liveliness to the facade.

Simplicity and Privacy: The overall form of the house is characterized by clean, minimal lines that emphasize simplicity and calmness. A solid fence and wooden gate ensure privacy while maintaining a sense of sophistication and stability.
