HOUSE RENOVATION – MR. MONGKOL

Modern & Safe Living

This residential interior design for the elderly focuses on creating a space that is safe, comfortable, and warm, providing a simple yet modern environment where seniors can live happily and independently.

Main Concept: Modern & Safe Living
The main concept, “Modern & Safe Living,” integrates contemporary aesthetics with practical functionality tailored to the needs of the elderly. The design emphasizes simplicity, openness, and safety — ensuring an atmosphere that is both elegant and accessible for daily living.

Key Design Features
Open and Accessible Layout: The open-plan configuration connecting the kitchen and dining area promotes smooth circulation and minimizes physical barriers, enhancing comfort and safety for elderly residents.

Warm and Calming Color Palette: A combination of soft gray, white, and natural wood tones creates a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. This neutral palette helps reduce visual fatigue and provides a sense of tranquility.

Safe and Functional Furniture: Furniture is carefully selected with rounded edges and stable forms. Dining chairs support proper posture, while wooden surfaces offer both durability and warmth.

Well-Planned Lighting: Lighting is thoughtfully positioned to ensure balanced illumination across all functional areas. Soft, diffused light enhances visibility and prevents harsh glare, contributing to overall comfort.

Appropriate Material Selection: Light-colored flooring materials are chosen for ease of maintenance and slip resistance. Wood textures are incorporated to add natural warmth and a homely touch.

Additional Safety Enhancements: Grab bars are installed along circulation paths to support balance and stability. Non-slip flooring and accessible countertop heights are introduced to promote safe, independent living.
